Follow Team Tata to the Côte d'Azur

Thinking of summer in Saint-Tropez never fails to conjure up visions of glittering seas, golden sunlight, and the cinematic history of the Côte d'Azur. This iconic vacation hotspot also happens to be a Team Tata favorite, thanks to a Tropezian secret we’re finally sharing. Nestled on the French Riviera at the Hotel Lou Pinet, you’ll find a side of Saint-Tropez you never knew existed. Read on to discover the best way to retreat and rejuvenate in the south of France, for a truly unforgettable getaway.

From the lush gardens to the plush suites, one step into the Lou Pinet and you’ll instantly recognize the hallmarks of the Maisons Pariente hotel family, one that Tata has come to know and love through our close collaborations. The Lou Pinet delivers a dose of Saint-Tropez charm with a vintage playfulness that feels right out of the ‘60s. Wandering through the grounds, you feel as if Brigitte Bardot could walk by at any moment.

Beautifully selected textiles, ceramics, and colorful murals decorate every room, and no detail is too small here. Even the old-school room keys deliver a touch of vintage chic, instead of the usual key cards. We particularly loved the balmy, natural light bathing every room in a golden glow—a touch from architect and designer, Charles Zana, to ensure the space feels both refined and intimate.

Where We Ate: Outdoors at Beefbar Restaurant

There’s no better place to dine in Saint-Tropez than under the sunshine, or the stars. At the Lou Pinet, we recommend grabbing a table outdoors at Beefbar Restaurant. It’s one of the best restaurants in the area for a simple, fresh menu of steak and Mediterranean dishes. Choose from cozy booths and tables inside, or grab a table on the open patio.

Before dinner, you’ll want to visit the outdoor bar at the Lou Pinet, which rests in the soft shade of a wooden pergola and large pine during the day.

At night, it comes to life under garlands of twinkling lights and lanterns. When there’s no room for dessert, spend your evening over an aperitif at the bar followed by a long, lazy game of Petanque on the grounds.

Where We Recharged: Tata Harper Spa

Just off the pool, you’ll find a winding staircase covered in florals. Take it from us: This is the true can’t-miss spot of your Saint-Tropez holiday. Follow the staircase down to a hidden door at the bottom of the gardens, and you’ll emerge in the Tata Harper spa at the Lou Pinet, a serene oasis that’s perfect for recharging and rediscovering your inner harmony. With two treatment rooms and a hammam, it’s an intimate space that feels like your private spa in paradise, far from the bustle of daily life.

You can’t go wrong with any of the massages or treatments on offer here, but to make the most of this dedicated Tata Harper spa (just like the one at the Hotel Crillon le Brave in Provence), our team’s personal favorite facials are below.

Award Wining Brightening Facial

This 75-minute treatment imparts true, vacation-worthy radiance. It features our bestselling Resurfacing Mask, a glow-giving treatment that boosts luminosity, clears blocked mores, and helps your skin look smoother and brighter.

Traveler's Recovery Facial

If you’re jet-lagged from a longhaul flight, you need this 60-minute treatment upon arrival, which acts like an espresso shot for tired skin. It combines stimulating facial massage with some of our best refreshing skincare essential to boost circulation and leave your face soft, smooth, and refreshed.

Lou Pinet Signature Facial

Choose from a 60- or 90-minute version of this signature treatment, which takes your skin’s specific needs into account. Treat yourself to a lifting facial massage and decadent Tata Harper facial designed to leave your skin glowing—and your mind completely relaxed.

Where We Relaxed: Poolside & Gardens

The turquoise-tiled pool is irresistible for an early morning dip or lazy afternoon swim. It’s also the largest in all of Saint-Tropez, lined with sun-soaked lounge chairs that beckon you to stretch out poolside. Find it at the center of the Lou Pinet’s lush garden oasis, filled with the enchanting scents of citrus and aromatic homegrown herbs.

Ancient pine trees, an iconic marker of the Lou Pinet, stretch out over the vast greenery, where you’ll find plenty of secret nooks and crannies.

At the height of summer, the hotel’s lavender, orange trees, lemon trees, and jasmine will all be in full bloom. On our visit, we loved taking a post-swim stroll through the gardens in our breezy Ciao Lucia sundresses for the quintessential Côte d'Azur moment.

Where We Explored: Fragrance in Grasse

For any scent lover, Grasse is heaven on earth. Known as the fragrance capital of the world, the biggest brands all flock here to produce their signature scents. Take a scenic drive from Saint-Tropez to engage your senses, and don’t leave without taking a course where you can craft your own fragrance with globally renowned noses.

There’s plenty to explore, but for two definite highlights, we recommend visiting Fragonard and Galimard. At our custom fragrance experience with Galimard, we enjoyed a two-hour private experience led by a Master Fragrance Lead with over 20 years of experience.

Here, we walked through all the layers of a fragrance, from base, to heart, to top notes. We left with completely unique scents to call our own, as well as a truly special memory that can’t be experienced anywhere else.

Where We Swam: A Hidden Oasis at Indie Beach

We couldn’t experience Saint-Tropez without making a splash in the sparkling waters, so we headed outside of town for some private swimming. Just 10 minutes from the Lou Pinet, we reached Indie Beach, a hidden oasis where we could have easily spent an entire day soaking up the sea and sun.

When you come, bring just the essentials: some SPF and the prettiest Riviera-inspired swimwear from Solid and Striped. After you dry off, head to the club for lunch for the freshest seafood and a taste of the Saint-Tropez scene. If you prefer a quieter afternoon, you can also order beachside from the cabanas. Either way, you’re guaranteed to fall in love with the view here, where poppies sway in the breeze against crystal-blue waters.

What We Packed: Wellness Essentials

When Team Tata travels, we always pack both our beauty and wellness essentials. While swimming and jogging are easy to do on the Côte d'Azur, we still like to bring along some options for our go-to activities. On this trip, we brought our favorite Infrared PEMF Go-Mat from Higher Dose to sweat and relax.

This compact mat uses a pulsed electromagnetic field and healing crystal ions to help you recover from workouts, meditate deeper, and fully unwind wherever you are. And of course, we couldn’t forget our breathable yoga looks from Goldbergh for a calming flow by the pool.

What We Wandered: Saint-Tropez Coastal Path

There’s nothing like coastal views and fresh, salty air to invigorate you for the rest of the trip. Kimberley Pariente, Creative Director for Lou Pinet and the Maison Pariente hotel portfolio, turned us on to this six-mile coastal hike, which happens to be her personal favorite.

We slipped into our Arizona Love Trekky Sandals for a dose of Riviera flare and set off on the Saint-Tropez Coastal Path. Verdict? It’s one you won’t want to miss. Bring the sandals too, which will keep your feet comfortable and transition easily to post-hike drinks. The fun prints and open silhouette remind us of our Vermont farm and days spent exploring the rolling hills and forests around the property. With this little souvenir that reminds us of home, our Saint-Tropez getaway was perfectly complete.
