From Vermont, With Love

From Vermont, With Love

Our farm in Vermont is the heart of Tata Harper, where we engineer, formulate and package all of our 100% natural skincare. In our small community, quality and craftsmanship abounds which is why this season we wanted to come together and celebrate with local makers, neighbors and friends. Together, we spent a beautiful evening bringing together the very best of Vermont, breaking bread and toasting to the season of giving ahead.

The best part: we want to give you the chance to bring this experience to life in your home as well! Enter here for a chance to win gifts from us and our friends at Vermont Farmtable and Farmhouse Pottery — and read on to learn more about our neighbors who made this celebration so special.

Vermont Farm Table:

There’s something so beautiful about taking the time to slow down, gather, and celebrate the natural bounty and harvest blooms of Vermont. Vermont Farm Table, having perfected the blend of beauty and functionality, provides a special space to do just this.

Back in 2008, the founders set up a wood shop in their shed to create tables for others that stood up to the rigors and responsibilities of modern family life. Today, the team is well known around New England for handcrafting beautiful, solid wood tables.

On one level, we make beautiful, long-lasting furniture. On a deeper level, we’re passionate about people slowing down, spending quality time together, and building strong, lifelong bonds.

From farmhouse to modern, these gorgeous tables are packed with quality and tradition, and become the heart of a home. We joined as a team around The Gatherer Dining Table - and it couldn’t have been a more dreamy setting.

Farmhouse Pottery:

For a curated tablescape and decor, we turned to our friends at Farmhouse Potteryto bring together this elegant yet rustic look. Founded in the quintessential town of Woodstock, Vermont, Farmhouse Pottery believes that farm-to-table isn’t just a foodie trend, but rather the rediscovery of a more sustainable lifestyle and value system.

With craftsmanship and sustainability at their core, their goal is to make elegant yet modern pieces for their customers to live with and use every day. Each piece is entirely unique, letting creativity and personality find expression.

Not only was there tablescape entirely swoonworthy (we especially loved the pantry mug for a cozy soup bowl), but the ambiance of our dinner was heightened with a twinkling assortment of hand poured candles and tealights.

It felt so cozy, and brought together this perfect sesnse of togetherness and relaxation - which paired perfectly with our local Shelburne Vineyard wine.

To elevate this experience further, we lit one of our exclusive Tata X Farmhouse Pottery Candles  Infused with Lavender & Citrus, this custom blended candle smells just like Tata’s bountiful garden and is crafted with freshly harvested herbs, fruits, flowers and grains. Best yet? The set comes with Milk Bottle Match Striker - and may just be your new holiday gifting go-to.

Ardelia Farm:

To bring all of these beautiful pieces to life, we turned to a friend and culinary wiz — local chef and farmer Thomas McCurdy. Thomas and his husband Bailey run Ardelia Farm & Co. a specialty cut flower farm and bakery located in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom.

This year Thomas embarked on the Fifty Two Dinners project, committing to hosting fifty two dinner parties in one calendar year and chronicling them all on his journey. We had the honor of celebrating Thomas’ 45th dinner in this project!

From appetizers to dessert, and everything in between, Thomas used only the highest quality organic ingredients from local Vermont farms. From bite-sized rarebit made with an assortment of Vermont cheeses to fresh ginger ice cream with red wine & anise poached pears, each dish was a culinary delight.

Throughout the evening, we toasted with curated drinks from Shelburne Vineyard and Sunwink, and even ended the evening with a tasting of Silo Distillery’s Vermaro, a yet-to-be-released amaro with 14 botanicals from around the state of Vermont.

The Coziness:

While each season in Vermont is embraced to its full wonder - these cozy late fall months are truly ones to savor. As the days are getting shorter, and it's a time to come together and celebrate light, love, warmth, and happiness.

We gathered together our team for the perfect kickoff to a bountiful holiday season.

It was a true Vermont moment - a feeling of togetherness, relaxation, and a coziness of the soul.
