Rooted in Green with Trees for the Future

As a lot of you know, my goal is bigger than just creating products that are better for people, I have wanted to make products that are better for the planet. I consider the environment in every single decision we make as a company. It’s something we’ve been focused on since we launched our brand almost 10 years ago.

I always look for opportunities to support organizations that are working towards the same goal and I’m so excited to announce that I will be an ambassador for Trees for the Future, an amazing organization that’s actively working to help change lives and improve our planet.

This Earth Day, we're donating 15% of sales to Trees for The Future — now through 4/23 exclusively at*

Why Are Trees So Important?

At the center of the environmental crisis is excess CO2. There’s nothing man-made we’ve invented to really remove that, and we still rely on trees to reduce CO2. The only way to support this is to plant more trees. Now, more than ever trees are incredibly important to help rebuild our planet.

The deforestation in the Amazon and the bushfires in Australia have been horrific to watch. Those ecosystems have been compromised and many animals have perished. Due to deforestation, the soil within these fragile environments has become so depleted, it’s actually almost sterile. By planting trees, they can help bring health and vital nutrients back to the soil that have been depleted by excessive drought and toxins. Ultimately, making food and water safer to eat and drink for all.

Why Trees For the Future?

Trees for the Future

Trees for the Future is a Maryland based non-profit with a mission to improve the livelihoods of impoverished farmers by revitalizing degraded lands. Currently this development is taking place within six different countries in Africa who are seeing the most agricultural devastation; Senegal, Tanzania, Cameroon, Kenya, Guinea, and Uganda.

Tree for the Future offers agroforestry, or 'forest gardening’. It’s a technique that strategically plants specific types of fast-growing trees, fruit trees, hardwoods and food crops in a systematic manner. Because of this process, families are able to have sustainable food sources, livestock feed, products to sell, fuel wood and a 400% increase in their annual income in as little as four years.

A Goal to Plant 500 Million Trees

Like me, Trees for the Future believes in the power of nature and their mission is to improve the livelihoods of impoverished farmers by revitalizing degraded land. By planting trees, this provides families with more than just food -- it provides income, opportunity, education, and can even save lives.

Trees for the Future

Trees for the Future’s goal is to plant 500 million trees and end hunger and poverty for one million people by 2025. The best thing? You can get involved too! On April 22nd and 23rd we will be donating 15% of our proceeds on to help them achieve this goal. You can also encourage your friends and family to calculate how many trees they need to plant to offset their carbon footprint!

I can’t wait to share more about my partnership with Trees for the Future with all of you and how together, we can all help to build a healthier planet.
