“Everyone associates me with Vermont,” she says, “but Colombia is where my love of beauty came from.” In her hometown of Barranquilla, Harper helped her grandmother host home spa parties on Saturdays. “I would prepare all the scrubs and this mask with vinegar and mayo for the hair,” she says. “Beauty was not a chore or a luxury but something you did to make yourself happy.”
I couldn’t find anything that was effective, made of high-quality ingredients, and pleasant to use. I knew if I was looking for results without worrying about my safety, other women must be too, so I decided to create my own.
